  • Yellow clothing

I mentioned to my mum last night about the lack of yellow clothing in my wardrobe. I thought it would be fun to dress in yellow next Tuesday when I go watch Brazil vs Portugal. *jumps up and down in excitement!!*

Her suggestion of "Oh! We could sew a lot of dust-cloths together like a cloak!" Was met with an odd look..

She went to some charity shops today in her lunch hour and came home tonight clutching a bag exclaiming "I've got you something YELLOW!"

    Oooh!!

It's a shame it's got Carlsberg written across the front and a Liverpool badge on it... :##

    Liverpool Shirt

Could be worse I guess.. ;)

  • Time for some DIY

4pm rolled around pretty quickly today. Was expecting a knock at my front door from my techy friend, all eager to get me up and running on my PC.

I waited, and waited a bit more.. and just for fun, I waited a bit longer.

No knock on the door :(

"Have you forgotten about me?" I text him. No.. but he got held up at work. and Now can't come and fit it until next week. :(

I won't be here next week!

OK, so I could be all patient and wait, patiently for.. a time in the future when he will be in the area and I will be home.

Or.. I could try fitting this Power Supply myself. I mean, The PC isn't working anyway, So I've got nothing to lose.

And.. I might learn something... right?

*Googles How to Replace a Power Supply for the insanely stupid*

I just need to know a few things, Will I kill anything if I don't do the job properly? Will it take longer than the 3 years that I've estimated?

My mum will help me. I'll be nice to her for a whole week in return for her screwdriver skills... ;)

I just want to get off this evil, slow, ancient PC.. That's all. :'(

  • Eeeek!

Thanks to Jenni losing her phone, for some reason has made me go on a new phone finding frenzy.

I've just bought one of these on eBay... for... um... £195 [insert large amount of money here]

    phone

    So.. yes.. now I'm terrified!

Other than that, I've been sleeping lots.. sneezing lots, drinking lots, feeling exhausted lots, aching lots and generally feeling like I've been flattened by a truck (lots).

And I've become a tea addict. Not a tea fan at all so this is pretty shocking news. :))

Tomorrow my PC will be fixed (hopefully!) so will Blog more. I hope. If I'm still alive that is.

  • My lame attempt at poetry

    I have the flu
    Or something
    It sucks
    Woo

  • Hysterical Laughter

I seem to be drifting off into non blog-world.. I don't like it!

Anyway, still on my old PC.. new PC is still sick and needing TLC.

The last couple of days I've spent with Jenni as she is going back to London at the weekend. On Wednesday, we killed prostitutes with a chainsaw and shot people who looked suspiciously like Erik before carjacking a fast car and attempting badly to outrun the police.

Vice City runs on my old PC. whoop!!

In the evening, we watched us play the T Team, my mum was hovering about before the game started and suddenly piped up with:

"Tottenham Hotspur?? I thought you were playing the T Team!"

"We are.. That is the T Team!"

"Oh! I thought the T Team was Manchester United!"

needless to say, complete hysterics followed..

Another cause of extreme hysterics was earlier in the day when we were showing off our Croatian vocabulary to Zvone.

We'd already covered, hospital, lamination, shit, some weird technical stuff, and had moved onto animals..

    Cazza: Slon
    Zvone: Elephant
    Cazza: Zirafa
    Zvone: Guiraphe

At least Google has a bit of sense...

Yesterday I went to Jenni's and we watched Feverpitch. She cried. I nearly cried. Erik and Freddie are still love/hating each other. My sister is fast becoming a MySpace addict. Life should be back to it's boring, mundane self soon!

  • Just as you solve one problem...

Another crops up as a consequence...:##

I am now staying logged into blogland by using Firefox instead.

But, Firefox doesn't want to log me into Gmail!

    *sigh*

  • Oh YES!

Decided to kill two birds with one stone today and do the ironing while I was watching the football.

Except, the first half I found soo engrossing, I didn't start ironing 'til the second half. Pretended my Tigger top was, in fact, Wayne Rooney's groin! >:-(

I think it's a good thing I didn't have a lot to iron, as I was leaping around the flat like a possessed elastic band by the end.. and could've been sporting painful iron marks had I had more creased stuff :)

In future, I will be normal and relax on the sofa :>>

In other news, My sister, using the internet in her flat via someone else's unsecured wireless connection (mwahahaha) has signed up for MySpace. eeek! She better not write about me..! :|

  • I could be a handyman! (woman, person, whatever)

I hate the dark. The only place I'm happy for it to be dark is bedtime when I'm in my bed and about to go to sleep. Any other time, and the dark is unwelcome and mean.

So I was a bit.. concerned.? earlier when I wandered into the lounge to watch TV.. I switched the light on and.. flash! Light bulb blew and the flat was plunged into darkness. :##

This would be fine, I'd usually just swear, and my mum would sort it.

    But she's not here..! :|

So, ignoring my instincts to hide beneath my bed covers, I fumbled around for a torch and set to work groping my way to the electic meter thing and then flipping the switches until light was restored.

I'm soo proud of myself! :))

I still wish it had decided to do this in daylight (although, I wouldn't have had to switch the light on in the first place during the day.. duh!) OK. I wish my sister had decided to come around later than she did then. For two reasons. She could've sorted the lighting issue, and she wouldn't have been disgusted with me for still lying in bed at 2pm. (I'd been up for ages, listening to Chelski being crap but she didn't believe me!) :(

Anyway, MOTD now... I'll be back. Unless a real power cut sweeps down our street! :b

  • And today I achieved.. Nowt

Oh look!! I'm still being logged out despite a ickle bit of tweaking. :## Will install Firefox in a minute, even though this PC loads Firefox, r...e...a...l...l...y... s...l...o...w...l...y... Aaand, it seems that despite my prayers, my computer boffin friend won't be able to come fix up my computer til next week sometime, I was soo hoping he'd come on Sunday, but naah. *sulks*

Jenni came over today, and we made a "movie" with my cam. It's on her blog. I'm not linking to it cos it's silly and embarrassing, so if you want to see it, You'll have to find it yourself. HAHA.

mm other than that, I have done nothing. My mum left for another weekend in Leicester and me and Jenni watched.. *whispers* RealmadridTV!. Bad time to watch as they were showing highlights of an RvN Hattrick. and the opposition having lots of sendings off. It wasn't that entertaining..! :(

We also argued over the correct way of making scrambled egg. and she kindly left a rather large bag of gummi bears here. mmmm!

  • Excessive Packaging

Blog is enjoying logging me out every 5 minutes so if i'm not commenting, it's cos i'm tearing out my hair. I'm pretty sure it's the PC and not blogland but - nonetheless - It's making me swear. I'll have a tweak later if it keeps doing it.

Anyway, Recently, i went on a bit of an eBay Corinthian bidding splurge. My new Batigol one arrived today.

wrapped in a slither of bubble wrap, and put into this box..! :))

    Bati & Box

mmm what feedback shall I leave? especially as I paid for it him on 28th December! :|

  • Evil Technology

Haven't been around much because my darling old computer decided to grind to a halt. Seems this week, technology is working against me. Probably on a mission to get me to do something else instead? Grumble.

I think I had a virus, I didn't bother going through my hardcore security routine as I'm only meant to be on this ancient thing for a while and didn't see the point. But, although i'm used to the speed of my main rig, I'm sure the keyboard on here should be able to keep up with what I type!?

Anyway, a quick reformat and the installation of a virus checker seems to have solved the problem.. so far. And, as my new power supply was delivered today, I should be good to go in a while, i.e. when some nice person comes to fit it for me cos I don't have a clue how to do such things..!

While I was shopping for said Power Supply, I decided to treat myself to.. a digital camcorder. Not a fancy one, just a little cheap thing. GOD! IT'S SO COOL! it's been permanently in my hand for most of the day and i've filmed myself running around the flat and pretending that I'm a salesperson for the clock on the mantelpiece, my lava lamp, and the teddy bear sitting on my bed.

mmm.. no, i wasn't really.. that was a lie. honest.

Need to find something else to do now. Oh I know! Read some blog posts!

*Puts cam on charge, out of arms reach* ;)

  • Cover your ears!

I received two parcels in the post today.

The first was another member of the Firewire Drive club. ie, a Prostar Corinthian going by the name of Robert Pires.

The other parcel was a Christmas present from Zvone.

No it hasn't taken that long to get to me, He only posted it on Tuesday the lazy git. (hmm, his present from me is still in my drawer...)

Anyway.. The present was.. GASP.. Colonia's latest CD. Colonia being one of biggest groups in Croatia. (I think)

They suck. Although, this album isn't quite as.. bad as the other one I have.

You'd think, considering they're Croatian, they'd be beautiful, but they're not really.. *sigh* No Goran Visnjic clones here.

Anyway, this, annoying song is the theme tune to Croatian Big Brother. It's called "Do Kraja" which means "Until The End" so.. er.. enjoy!

  • Learning to 'Speel'

    Well.. Aren't I an idiot..

Seems for the last.. long time, the link down the side, pointing to my Friends Of Ours blog has actually been pointing to "Fiends Of Ours"

    Thanks for telling me!! :))

    Haha... grrr

I'll leave it that way for a bit longer. It made me blush lots..

  • Whoop!

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that Emirates Stadium will host a match between Brazil and Portugal at 8pm on Tuesday 6th February 2007, the second international friendly to be held at the new 60,000 capacity stadium.

Yeah, guess where I'm going on February 6th? :>>

  • Sick PC update

I've set up my ooold PC as Cazza seems to be incapable of not using a PC for a week or two. :|

My PC-nut friend came over yesterday with a spare PSU that he had lying about and ta-dah! he removed my old one, put the "new" one in and the PC booted up without complaint.

That should be the end of the story but, sadly it's not.

Despite the new PSU being more powerful than the old me, it doesn't have as many connectors or something and after my friend left, the PC started moaning about insufficient power and taking ages to do simple things like load Firefox or send an I.M.

So the PC is now on the floor while I go shopping for a really new PSU and while i'm at it, a new graphics card fan (apparently, that's what's being noisy in there) and a new dvd-rom drive. I'm confused already!

In the meantime, I'm on the slowest PC ever invented. (An exaggeration.) I'm surprised it's functioning at all considering it's not been booted up for 3 years..! But I've wiped it clean, installed Windows 2000, which didn't recognise any of my hardware, and managed to get it running, more or less. But, the sooner I get my REAL PC back, the better..

  • Mum, It's broken

Except the thing that's broken isn't a can opener.

    It's my.. COMPUTER!

    It won't power up!

I've just had to press the power switch.. 25 times before it fired up successfully.. otherwise it's just doing an impression of a car that won't start on a cold morning.

My knowledge of the inner workings of a PC is pretty dire so.. I'm guessing it's a power supply problem..?

I fear I will have to resort to using my old, crap PC until some nice person comes along and fixes this..

Or, I won't turn it off ever again.

  • ER

The new series of ER starts tonight.. And although I kept meaning to catch up on the episodes I missed (about 10 from last season!) There's no way I can watch that much TV in 2 hours.. so..

What happened? I don't want to feel lost when I tune in tonight..

  • God how pathetic is this..

I've felt pretty.. delicate most of today.. I didn't sleep well at all and have no appetite. (WOO!)

    And why?

Cause I am worried sick about that stupid transfer rumour that was in that stupid newspaper!

When I told my mum this.. her words were "Oh I thought you were worried about something SERIOUS!"

    >:XX

I'll sue News of the World if I'm hospitalized for malnutrition :))

Aah yeah thankfully, The current - but ever-changing - feeling is "It's a load of crap! Don't believe a word of it!"

  • A Plea

Just a quick post, before the next episode of the brill and fab Desperate Housewives is shown.. :>>

My friend Jenner is running the ultimate Eye Candy competition this week. Please please! Go and vote. It'll make it so much more fun. And if you don't know who to vote for. 2 simple words are all that is needed.

    Freddie
    Olof

Leave a comment HERE to cast your votes.

    Thank You! ;)

    -----------------------

In other news. My mother is a saint. Yesterday she drove a 6 hour round trip to Leicester to visit Blokey who is still in hospital. I've set up Orange Magic numbers for them both now so they can call each other for 15p an hour. I think this will be short-lived though as the offer has a "fair usage" policy that my mum is so far choosing to ignore. :)

  • Yipeee

I know this is going to offend half of my friend's list.

    But...

    *Screams with Joy!*

    -----

I've been totally terrified all day, or, as my phone prefers the word "sacred" to scared, I've been "NOT SACRED" all day.

    But it's over now.

    Sorry..

  • Evil Norton

My sister bought a laptop at the weekend, from PC world. Not that she has the internet or anything at home. She's just easily tempted by anything with a reduced sticker on it.

Anyway, she bought it over today for me to have a squizz at and so I could load it up with goodies for her.

She was telling me that the salesman was trying to sell her "some Norton thing" for an extra 60quid.

After choking for a bit, I gave her my sternest look and launched into my spiel about evil Norton software and how I hope she wasn't at all tempted!

"Nah. I just told him that my sister could download that for me!"

    Good move, Jess...

So.. I was just a little surprised to boot up her new toy.. and what was running on it? Norton Internet Security...!

PC world are silly really.. I am just hoping that she was being sold either something else Norton-like, or a new version of the stupid program.

    It's gone now. Obviously.

  • Anyone want a cheese wrap?

    The first OOPS of 2007.

For lunch, I made myself a cheese wrap. I put it on a plate and was just walking through the flat when the phone rang.

I put the wrap on my dressing table and answered the phone.. then I sat on the couch for a bit and read a magazine.

    Then I washed up.

at about 6pm I started to wonder why I felt so hungry..

*Glances over to the wrap still sitting untouched on my dressing table*

ah yes.. that would be why...

Actually.. the first oops of 2007 was missing the new year thanks to a bottle of champagne that refused to open.. but never mind eh?
