  • Look! No wires!

Finally, after a year of being wired to a router, I had to admit defeat and go wireless.. The router has been sitting quite happily in my room all that time while my mum is in the next room surfing wirelessly from it.

But Mummy wasn’t pleased. Her signal was “Very Low” most of the time and it was getting beyond a joke with the constant moans of “OH EVERYTHING’S SO SLOW!” and “I’VE BEEN DISCONNECTED AGAIN!”

So now the router is in the hall and I’ve dug out my wireless connection/usb thing/hideous blue lighted stick/etc praying that I didn’t have a “Very Low” signal as well.

Thankfully now we both have “Very Good” signals.

But it’s not as good as being wired.

The lights on the router made a handy night-light!

Other than that, it’s the same. :)

  • No Car Boot Sale

Dreams last night included the idea of “Volcano Karting”, Hanging by a rope in a carriage and being whisked across hot lava. As long as that isn’t what the London Underground has become. Hate it! Grr

We were going to go to a carboot sale today but my mum’s lovely old lady friend decided to ring up just as we were leaving.:( We did leave eventually but car boot sale wasn’t on! :( Incidently, when my mum asked me – from another room – whether we were going to a certain car boot sale (as apposed to another nearby one), I am SURE she said “Alex Hleb Car Boot Sale” but that can’t be right so I probably just imagined it.

We went shopping (in shops) instead. I needed/wanted some new clothes so I now have an array of new outfits. Haven’t indulged in retail therapy for ages, but that’s probably because retail therapy leaves me stressed, tired and depressed.

I bought Jenni’s birthday card, and ordered her birthday present. I am sure she’ll love both, I love looking at cards, hoping to find just the right one. I know this is definitely the right one. It might as well just have her name one it! I’ll scan it now and post it on here when I come back from London.

Now I’m.. well.. I’m watching video interviews of the Sweden Squad talking Swedish.. I know.. thrilling. :>>
